Planning Commission
The Planning Commission of Germantown Hills is responsible for evaluating proposed new subdivisions within the Planning Area to insure that they comply with the Village Subdivision Ordinance, maintaining the Village Comprehensive Plan, reviewing and providing recommendations to the Board of Trustees for certain types of ordinances, and to act as consultants to the Board of Trustees on issues from time-to-time.
The jurisdiction of the Planning Commission includes not only the Village itself, but also any property that lies within 1 ½ miles from the Village boundaries.
Members of the Planning Commission are appointed by the Mayor and approved by vote by the Board of Trustees. Members come from both within the Village Limits and the 1 ½ mile planning zone outside of the Village limits.
